Here is a lovely aroid, rarely offered in Ireland, which is surprising as it is well suited to many parts of the country enjoying mild woodland conditions and moist loamy/peaty soil.
It grows about 60cm, sprouting from its tuber in spring and dying down in late summer. They benefit from a mulch in autumn. The spathe is green and leads to green berries. The bulbs produce offsets in autumn which can eventually be separated from the mother bulb (which is where these come from!) It also grows well from seed, indeed you may find these popping up in the garden on the odd occasion.
